How to Reserve a Puppy

(Each puppy is individually priced. Most black & white puppies for pet homes are $2,500)

  • The Process

    Reserving your puppy with us is a simple and secure process. First, carefully review this entire page. Then, complete the application below. Once we receive your application, we will review it to ensure you’re a good fit for our program. If approved, we will send you a contract along with a link to submit the $400 holding fee. This payment secures your place on our waitlist or, if available, a current puppy.

    We fulfill most puppy requests within 3 months, though occasional delays may occur. Our waitlist is dynamic and includes all of our litters, meaning you are not limited to a single litter. As families select their puppies, your position on the list moves up. When it’s your turn to choose, you’ll have the option to pick from the available puppies or wait for a future litter of your choice.

    When a new litter arrives, we update our litter announcement page with all the details. There, you’ll find birth announcements, including the number of puppies, their sex, color, size, photos, videos, and general litter information.

  • Payment, AKC & Colors

    Holding Fee and Payment

    To join our waitlist or to reserve a puppy, a $400 non-refundable holding fee is required. This amount will be applied toward your total purchase price. For your convenience, we accept multiple payment methods, though we prefer Venmo. We also accept Zelle and PayPal. The remaining balance is due at pickup when your puppy is ready to go home at eight weeks old.

    AKC Registration

    Each puppy comes with limited AKC registration, which certifies that your puppy is from registered parents. This allows participation in AKC events, including dog shows. Full AKC registration, which grants breeding rights, is available only with approval from Team Reeves Ranch. Please contact us for more details.

    Border Collie Colors

    Border Collies come in a wide variety of colors. At Reeves Ranch, we prioritize exceptional genetics and temperament in every pairing, regardless of color.

  • Delivery & Co-Ownerships

    Puppy Transportation Options

    We offer several safe and convenient transportation options for your puppy:

    * Flight Nanny Service. Your puppy can fly in the main cabin in the continental U.S, with a flight nanny, for approximately $1,500.

    * Door-to-Door Personal Delivery. Continental U.S. flight nanny delivery and delivered to your home is available for approximately $2,200.

    * California & Nevada Delivery. We offer transport within California and Nevada, including Sacramento, Fresno, and San Francisco airports, at a rate of $1.90 per mile.

    * Southern California Delivery: Pickup is available at Petco in Glendale for a $350 fee.

    Free Central California Pickup. You can pick up your puppy at American Pet Hospital in Modesto, CA, free of charge.

    Pickup at the ranch is strongly discouraged to protect our litters from contagious diseases like parvo. No outside dogs are allowed on the property.

    Co-Ownership Program

    Our co-ownership program allows select breeding prospects to be co-owned by their new family and Team Reeves Ranch while living full-time with their owners. Financial compensation is also provided. [Contact us for more details.]
